Fabrication of a Cold Rolled Steel Rack for the Wine Industry
The wine rack shown here was manufactured for a customer in the wine industry and highlights many of our fabrication capabilities. At Eugenio’s Sheet Metal, we specialize in custom fabricated metal products and are well equipped to manufacture products such as this.
The unit was designed to display various wine products and would be placed at a number of distribution outlets. This meant that it had to be attractive as well as durable. To achieve this, it was composed of cold rolled steel (CRS). Fabrication required the use of our shear and press brake for cutting, bending, and forming. TIG welding was used for assembly and belt sanding was used to produce a clean smooth finish. The wine rack featured dimensions of 14” in length, 16” in width, 27” in height, and met tolerances of ± 0.03”, all of which was verified with visual and dimensional inspections. Once the units passed QC, they moved on to powder coating and silk screening. We produced a total of 20 of these attractive wine racks in only 3 weeks.
